Capstone - Practicum

Course Description:

Application of skills in problem analysis and definition, learner and situation analysis, specification of objectives and assessment criteria, instructional strategies selection, prototyping and implementation, and evaluation planning. Implementation of solution to student-selected problem required.

Learning Objectives:

As participants in this collaborative learning experience, you will design, develop, document, and validate an instructional product. Specifically, students, working indvidually or in teams, are to comduct an instructionnal design project that involves completinng the essential phases of the instructional design process includinng:

  1. Project scope and plan
  2. High level design: Curriculum / course scope and sequence and instructional model
  3. Unit / lesson design (one prototype lesson)
  4. Formative Evaluation

Dissemination Strategy :

Face-to-face class.

Course Reflection:

This course really brings it all together in application. I didn't so much learn anything in the course, but more got a reinforcement of all that I had been learning about the ADDIE process and putting it into action.
