Message Design for Digital Media

Course Description:

Combines message design theory with basic technology skills development to create technology-based or enhanced instructional materials.

Learning Objectives:

This course has three instructional goals:

  1. To apply perceptual and learning principles to the design and development of instructional media for use in educational and training applications.
  2. To design instructionnal materials that effectively communicates instructional messages.
  3. To evaluate instructional materials based upon instructional message design.

Dissemination Strategy :

Face-to-face class.

Course Reflection:

This was a really good class to get me thinking about how people see things and hear things. We all have different preferences for learning and receiving information. These differences need to be taken into consideration when designing any message or information, but especially when designing instruction.
